All festival badges let you stroll easily from one performance to another. Take advantage of the Early-Bird All-Event badge discount by ordering before January 16, 2022. Badges can be ordered by phone or at the door. Badges ordered in advance can be picked up along with your free program starting at 10am, Friday March 4, 2022 in the DeAnza Lobby of the Portola Hotel and Spa. A limited number of Day and All-Event Badges will be sold at the door.

Kick off Jazz Bash by the Bay on Thursday, March 3, 2022 with a concert and dance party. From 7–8pm enjoy the hit trio We3 featuring Bob Draga, Jeff Barnhart and Danny Coots in a Special One-Night-Only appearance in the intimate Bonsai Room. Admission is $25. In the DeAnza Ballroom from 8:15–10:30pm, in a concert setting with two dance floors, dance or just listen to The Monterey Marauders — led by 2020 and 2022’s Musicians of the Year, Marc Caparone and Brian Holland, with a once-in-a-lifetime line-up including: Clint Baker, Riley Baker, Danny Coots, Marilyn Keller, Nate Ketner, Jessy Carolina Maggio, John Otto, Steve Pikal and Sam Rocha. Admission is $30. ATTEND BOTH EVENTS FOR $50. All tickets can be purchased by phone, mail, online or at the door.

Part of our mission is to encourage young musicians to discover traditional jazz and learn more about their musical heritage. Understanding the fundamentals of early jazz provides an excellent foundation for future musical exploration and study. Scholarships are available to enable young musicians to participate in jazz clinics and camps. Each year at Jazz Bash by the Bay attendees are treated to performances by outstanding youth bands. A free early jazz youth clinic is held Saturday morning. High school students and younger students with an adult are admitted free for all three days of the festival.
