Individual Musician Bios
Residing in Paso Robles, Dawn Lambeth has appeared at jazz festivals in the United States and Japan and performs regularly at venues throughout the Central Coast. Her last CD, “Let’s Get Lost” won praise from reviewers and DJ’s and was picked up for reissue in both Japan and Thailand.
Seattle based saxophonist/clarinetist and arranger Jacob Zimmerman bring a touch of class to any stage with is his beautiful, elegant playing. Known for his deep knowledge of the American Songbook and jazz repertoire, Jacob is much in demand for traditional jazz events and swing dances. In addition to running his own group in Seattle, Jacob performs regularly with Ray Skjelbred and Jonathan Doyle, and was featured prominently on 2 of Rachael & Vilray’s jazz albums.

New Jersey based trumpeter Danny Tobias has performed previously at Monterey with the Midiri Brothers and brings beautiful shape, swing and artful improvisation to his performances. Danny’s skills and repertoire embrace a variety of styles, although he is strongly influenced by Louis Armstrong, Ruby Braff, Buck Clayton and Chet Baker.

Known on the traditional jazz circuit for his Teddy Wilson stride stylings, pianist Chris Dawson is a versatile and much in demand pianist who’s work has included collaborating with Nancy Wilson and Dick Hyman, and recording for Warner Brothers, Verve and Arbor Records.
Josh Collazo is a Los Angeles based drummer who specializes in playing 1930’s/40’s jazz and swing with various groups across the nation. Outside of his jazz career, Josh has also been a member of Grammy award winning Edward Sharpe and The Magnetic Zeros since 2007.

Mikiya Matsuda is a steel guitarist and string bassist living in San Francisco, CA. He is the leader of The Alcatraz Islanders, a swing-era Hawaiian band, and an active sideman in the Bay Area’s traditional jazz scene. Mikiya has played at venues and festivals across the US, working with a range of artists, including Clint Baker, the Hot Club of San Francisco, Dave Stuckey and many others.
