Ken Hall

Ken began playing accordion at age 5 but began playing stride piano after purchasing a player piano at age 13. He also learned to repair and automate player pianos. He got his first taste of playing for the public at age 15 when his friend, Jerry Cordy, would come pick him up and take him to Capone’s pizza parlor to play intermission piano for Bob Ringwald. Since then he has played in many cocktail lounges and pizza parlors and in over a dozen jazz festivals on the West Coast. He likes to stay loyal to the melody with many variations in the base line including a little boogie woogie. Catch him between some of the sets in DeAnza!
