Paolo Alderighi

Paolo Alderighi, originally from Milan, is one of Italy’s foremost jazz pianists. He earned his degree in Piano Performance from the G. Verdi Conservatory of Milan in 2000. Since 1996 he performed all over Europe, the US, Canada, Japan, Australia, Malta, Morocco and Israel.

He now lives in St. Louis, Missouri and frequently performs in duo with his wife, acclaimed pianist Stephanie Trick. In 2014, they played for the Prince of Wales and the Duchess of Cornwall at the Edinburgh Jazz & Blues Festival.

In 2007 he received a special prize from the Jury at the “National Prize of the Arts” organized by the Italian Ministry of University and Research, in the “Jazz” category. He recorded a part of the soundtrack of the documentary of Ermanno Olmi regarding the artist Jannis Kounellis and he collaborated on the production of various cultural events.

He has performed or recorded with musicians well known in the jazz scene, including Harry Allen, Howard Alden, John Allred, Dan Barrett, Dan Block, Evan Christopher, Scott Hamilton, Duke Heitger, Dick Hyman, Duffy Jackson, Jason Marsalis, Nicki Parrott, Ken Peplowski, Bucky Pizzarelli, Ed Polcer, Valery Ponomarev, Chuck Redd, Randy Reinhart, Scott Robinson, Randy Sandke, Warren Vaché, Bob Wilber, Roy Williams, and others.
